How to Lose Weight - The Basics of Weight Loss

At it's most basic, losing weight is about burning more calories than you eat. That seems simple enough, but if were really that simple, none of us would have a weight problem. Too often we take drastic measures to see results -- diets, pills or those weird fitness gadgets on infomercials that promise instant success. Maybe you lose weight but what happens when you go off that diet or stop that crazy workout program? You gain it all back and more. The real secret to weight loss is to make small, lasting changes. The key is to forget about instant results and settle in for the long run.

To lose one pound of fat, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities. That sounds like a lot of calories and you certainly wouldn't want to try to burn 3500 calories in one day. However, by taking it step-by-step, you can determine just what you need to do each day to burn or cut out those extra calories. Below is a step by step process for getting started.

Calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate)
Calculate your activity level.
Keep track of how many calories you eat.

ASUS TAICHI DUAL SCREEN LAPTOP
Manufacturing of the razor-thin, dual-screened Asus Taichi has hit a bump (or several bumps) in the road, it seems. An Asus spokesperson has announced that shipments will probably begin trickling out some time in December, but there’s an asterisk. They could be pushed back even further.
The Taichi was announced this summer and only officially priced late last month. Several online retailers have been taking pre-orders ever since. Now, however, Amazon and Newegg have decided to put the brakes on. Other sellers have begun completely removing both the 11- and 13-inch Taichi from their inventory listings.
Nevertheless, it’s too soon to completely abandon hope. If you had your heart set on picking up Asus’ dual-wielding 1080p convertibles, the current official word is that you’re just going to have to wait a tad longer. Looking back at another Asus product that had trouble getting off the ground tells another story, however.
The original PadFone met with delay after delay. It took nearly a year for Asus to finally go from displaying the PadFone at Computex to sending out actual devices to buyers in Taiwan. The kicker came just six months later when the company relegated the original to the Island of Misfit Gadgets and revealed the PadFone 2.
It’s hard not to go down that path when Asus isn’t forthcoming with details, though. Is there a hardware holdup? Driver issues? Perhaps the real problem is that the company’s not confident about launching a $1,300, 11-inch laptop with an operating system that the world hasn’t fully warmed up to. Maybe Asus is taking a little additional time to see if it can cut the price even a little to ensure that shoppers won’t suffer from sticker shock and pick up a MacBook Air $899.99 at B&H Photo-Video-Pro Audio for $200 less instead.

LOVE is in the AIR - Happy Valentines Day!

getting ready for valentines day? or still thinking for the best gift for your love one?...don't think too much because there's a lot of possible things you can give to them...here's some :

flowers are still one of the main gifts that a girl  used to have in every special occasion, flowers symbolizes a lot  of word so if you're planning to give your love one, make sure you pick the right one.

still running out of budget?, express your feeling through words, get a paper and be creative. you don't need to buy one, just show your love in a different way and surely they would love it.

chocolates or something sweet, and if you do love baking this is the best thing you could do, just make sure you don't use a lot of salt...for it will surely be a salty valentines day for you.

who can resist this charming teddy bear? i'm sure no one...and if you're planning to give it to your special someone..it's a good choice and and for surely it will be an exchange for her pillow at night.

if you are too generous, then this one will be the right choice for you, a "dinner date for two", but make sure to include  the flowers, chocolate, teddy bear and the card.

this things listed above are not the only things that you can give to your love ones, this are just an options to those people who can buy such things or who can spend such things like this, a simple valentine day can be a special one as long as you remember it and share it to the one you love; just always remember "it's the thought that counts".

hello Sooty :>

A GUINEA pig called Sooty had a night to remember after escaping from his pen and tunnelling into a cage of 24 females.
He romanced each of them in turn and was yesterday the proud father of 43 offspring. Staff at Little Friend's Farm in Pontypridd, South Wales, have now secured Sooty's pen - and begun looking for homes for the guinea pigs. Owner Carol Feehan, 42, said: "I'm sure a lot of men will be looking at Sooty with envy.
"We knew that he had gone missing after wriggling through the bars of his cage. We looked for him everywhere but never thought of checking the pen where we keep 24 females. We did a head count and found 25 guinea pigs - Sooty was fast asleep in the corner. He was absolutely shattered. We put him back in his cage and he slept for two days."

I'm not a religious person, I'm a weak one that cries when being hurt, I'm also not the type of
person who always count to God, but I really do appreciate the things that He gave to me; and this things inspires me a lot, to be a great person, and to inspire other people that surrounds me. I also know that He really pushes me up and to break my limit and become a unique one.

here is a quote that Mark Nepo wrote on his book that really inspires me a lot:

Tomorrow you could die and become an ant,and someone will be setting traps for you.But today you are precious and rare and awake.
It ushers us into grateful living. It makes hesitation useless.Grateful and awake, ask what you need to know now.Say what you feel now.Love what you love now.
